Avoid Painting a Green Sky from Mixing Yellows and Blues

We've got ourselves a dilemma. We've captured a wonderful beautiful sunset with our camera and we want to paint it. It's an image of warm Yellows on the horizon lighting up the clouds as the sun sets in the distance. We know that blue is needed as a surrounding sky color. But if we get any where near that Yellow pigment with blue paint our brush, a greenish hue will come forth and then aaagghh! We got ourselves an upside down landscape painting.

Yellow and Blue blended together makes Green.

From the artist palette there is hope and there is a way to avoid this painting problem. We can use Red as a buffer to stop the interaction with the Yellow and Blue. In particular there's an oil paint color used to correct this dilemma by an untold number of artist called Alizarin Crimson.
